Are you aware that there are THREE kinds of label adhesives? Each one is meant for a different purpose and is capable of withstanding different environments. Here’s a brief overview of the three kinds for your reference:
Permanent: These labels are coated with a super-strong adhesive, so they can’t be removed without tearing. This is usually the most popular kind of label, ideal for almost everything. A typical example of a permanent label is often found on box or shelf labels.
Removable: As the name suggests, these labels are temporary and can be removed. Most of the time they can also be reapplied. Common uses for these are price tags or file labels.
Freezer: Who knew there was a special freezer adhesive, right?! These labels are coated with a freezer-grade adhesive, meaning they will withstand your freezer’s chilly temperatures. Obviously these aren’t everyday labels, but they are used for case-ready meats and other goods usually kept in the freezer.
