What are Thermal Labels?

New to the world of thermal printing? That’s okay – we’d be happy to help explain!

Essentially thermal labels are printed by using extreme heat to paste an image onto coated thermal paper. This is done by using four main processes:

  1.  Thermal head, which creates the heat and prints on the paper.
  2. Platen, which is a rubber roller that feeds the paper into the machine
  3. Spring, which applies pressure to the thermal head, causing it to press onto the thermal paper.
  4. Controller boards, which is used to control the machine.

Why choose thermal printing? Well, the quality and speed of thermal printing is significantly better than that of a traditional “dot-matrix” printer – these are your home printers and most other printing services.  Because of the speed of our thermal printers, we are able to supply rolls of labels for any business in rapid time. This is complimented with the quality of our labels, as the durability ensures no light or faded print.

Here at IdentiCo, our goal is to provide the best quality labels in the time frames you need. We look forward to doing business with you!
